Grant discovery for Australian charities

You have people to help.

Finding grants shouldn’t be a second job. Enter your ABN once — Granto reads every new Australian grant against your charity’s real eligibility, and only shows you the ones you can actually win.

Keyword databases hand you hundreds of results —

and leave you to read every single one.

Most were never yours to win.

Wrong entity type. Wrong state. Members only. Closed last Tuesday. You find that out on page four of the guidelines, after an hour you did not have.

See it work

Eighty seconds, real product, real charity.

How it works

Set it up once. It keeps working.

  1. 01

    Enter your ABN — once

We pull your charity straight from the ACNC register: entity type, DGR status, size, the states you operate in, who you serve. You confirm it and fill the gaps a register cannot know.

Two minutes. You never write it again.

  2. 02

It reads every grant against your profile

New rounds are collected from the sources we monitor and assessed against your charity — not against a keyword. Entity type, DGR item, geography, membership and sector restrictions are all checked before mission fit.

    Eligibility first. Always.

  3. 03

    It tells you why not

Every grant that is ruled out carries the reason, in plain English, pointing at the exact criterion you fail. Disagree with one? It is in the Review bucket, not deleted.

    Before you waste a week.

  4. 04

Verified on the funder's live page

Nothing reaches your Apply list until the funder's own current page has been fetched and re-checked — still open, still the same criteria, still you.

No stale lists. No false hope.

The guarantee

If Granto says apply, you are eligible.

That is the whole product. It is not a promise about a model being clever — it is a funnel that a grant has to survive four times before your team ever sees the word Apply.

  1. 01

    Structural gates

Entity type, DGR item, geography, membership, sector, closing date. Hard rules, no model involved. A closed round or a wrong-state grant never gets further.

  2. 02

    Profile assessment

What your charity is, and just as importantly what it is not. Serving a community is not the same as being controlled by one — that distinction alone kills most false matches.

  3. 03

    Independent agreement

Two separate models assess the same grant against the same profile. If they disagree, it goes to Review for a human, not to Apply.

  4. 04

    Live verification

The funder's own page is fetched and re-checked at the last moment. Still open, still the same criteria, still you — or it does not ship.

A missed grant is recoverable — it sits in Review with its reasoning, one click from your list. A grant you chase for a week and were never eligible for is not. So Granto is deliberately built to fail in the direction that costs you the least.

Proven with a real charity

It found Still Aware a grant three days in. They got it.

Now imagine that over a year.

“False positives shown” counts grants presented to a charity as Apply that it was not eligible for. One was caught by the verification funnel before it ever reached the customer — which is the funnel doing its job, not an absence of hard cases.

Still Aware is a national safe-infant-sleep charity, and Granto’s first client. Their team was reading grant databases by hand. They onboarded with their ABN, and three days later the list they were given contained a grant they were genuinely eligible for — checked against the funder’s own live page before it was ever shown to them. They applied. They got it.

Straight answers

Do you write or submit the application for me?
No. Granto finds and verifies the grants you are genuinely eligible for, and gives you the funder's live page and the reasoning behind the match. Writing and submitting stays with your team, who know your work.
What if it rules out a grant I think we could win?
It never silently deletes anything. Ruled-out grants sit in Review and Not eligible with the specific criterion and reasoning attached, so you can overrule it in one click. Missing a grant is recoverable — telling you to chase one you can never win is not.
Which grants does it watch?
Today: 279 live rounds across five sources — federal current and forecast opportunities through GrantConnect, South Australian government grants, and national foundations. More state portals are being added. Your profile's geography means you are never shown a round your charity cannot enter.
Is our charity's information kept private?
Your charity profile is yours. It is used to assess grants for you and is never pooled with, shared with, or sold to another organisation. Full detail on the privacy page.
